What is Bio-Biloba?
Bio-Biloba is natural herbal remedy. It consists of coated tablets, each containing 100 mg of refined dry Ginkgo leaf extract. They have a standardized content of 24 mg ginkgoflavone glycosides and 6 mg terpene lactones. Bio-Biloba contains Ginkgo biloba, which helps maintain a good cognitive function among these memory and concentration. Furthermore Ginkgo biloba supports the maintenance of a good blood circulation, which is good for cold hands and feet.
What is Ginkgo Biloba?
Ginkgo, also known as Maidenhair Tree, originates from Southeast Asia. For centuries, extract from the leaves of this tree has been used for therapeutic purposes. This tree, which is not related to any existing tree species, has existed for 240 million years and is occasionally referred to as ”a living fossil”. It is extremely sturdy and grows easily to a height of 30-40 meters.
The Ginkgo tree came to Europe in the 17th century. Its characteristic fan-shaped, bi-lobed leaves contain several active ingredients, of which ginkgoflavone glycosides and terpene lactones are believed to constitute those with the therapeutic properties.
Characteristics of Bio-Biloba
Bio-Biloba makes it possible to have a normal blood flow for example in the brain and in the outer vessel. In this way cells are supplied with more oxygen and nutrients. Many people have also found Bio-Biloba to be helpful against e.g. cold hands and feet.
The high content of Ginkgo biloba extract per tablet makes it possible to achieve the desired effect in approx. 4 weeks with only 1-2 tablets per day.
When the blood supply to the cells and tissue is reduced, it may give tendency to cold hands and feet. Bio-Biloba is an herbal product which can help the blood flow. For this reason you should avoid using Ginkgo-products prior to planned surgery (because of bleeding risk).
